Delta Airlines from June increase its flights to and from Dominican Republic

Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Santiago are the destinations of the Dominican Republic in which Delta Airlines will double its operations, adding up to 28 flights per week from June, after the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) gave Dominican authorization.
Delta will add five weekly flights to New York route Santo Domingo, seven from the U.S. city of Punta Cana and 14 more to the route from New York to the city of Santiago de los Caballeros.
Similarly, the JAC has given a total of 598 non-scheduled (charter) to various airlines for the summer season to cover the destinations of Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, La Romana and Samaná.
According to the JAC this volume of requests for new flights to the Caribbean nation, reaffirmed sustainable development that has been providing air transport sector in the country in recent weeks, impacting the economy positively.
With the release of the new flights for summer, ensuring greater passenger flow into the country, which will result in higher hotel occupancy and greater economic benefit, thus helping to restore the negative index has seen the arrival of tourists in the first quarter of 2013.
